Fixed windows
Fixed windows are generally more energy-efficient than operable windows because they do not have any moving parts that can allow air to leak in or out of a room. They can also be manufactured in larger sizes than operational windows and require very little maintenance, as they have no hinges, handles and movable parts to clean and oil. However, they cannot be used for ventilation purposes and may not be suitable for rooms that require frequent air circulation.
