Best for wider garden openings, kitchens, dining rooms and open-plan living spaces.

The VELFAC 200 double sliding door is designed for larger openings, with two opening sashes and fixed side sections. When opened, the master door moves outwards from the frame before sliding across the adjacent fixed sash. The slave door can then be opened by releasing the flushbolt in the French casement mullion.

The double sliding door provides up to 2.5m free opening and offers a generous connection between your home and garden, terrace or outdoor living space.

Internal handle only as standard
Espagnolette handles with ventilation position

Double sliding doors with or without frames?

"Frameless" doors may allow an higher level of noise to penetrate from outside, and can also have a reduced thermal insulation compared with more visible frames windows and doors systems. VELFAC sliding doors have a slim profile which allows an uninterrupted view without compromising on performance.

Which glass is best for sliding doors?

With VELFAC doors you can specify different types of glass depending of you specific needs.

If the design of your project requires a reduction in solar heat through the glazing, e.g. on South or West facing façades, then you should choose VELFAC SUN. VELFAC SUN is a neutral colour coating, which is very close to the appearance of standard glass, and delivers a natural internal finish and a clear view of the external environment, but offers greater protection against unwanted solar gain.
VELFAC DÉCOR opaque glass should be used in areas where privacy and security are required. VELFAC Décor is available in five different designs: Satin, Pacific, Cotswold, Carré or Matt Laminated
VELFAC SOUND - ideal to reduce noise coming from the outside
VELFAC SAFETY glass can be supplied as laminated or toughened, both types offering significant safety benefits. Safety glass breaks harmlessly, therefore reducing the risk of injury to residents.

Are sliding doors practical to use?

Sliding doors offer more controlled ventilation than bifolding doors because allow you to open the doors partially to ventilate each room without making your whole house cold.

VELFAC sliding doors are also very easy to operate even with only one hand, despite the size or weight of the door.
