As one of Europe’s leading windows manufacturers, we are aware of our responsibility towards people, the environment and society. Ever since our company was founded in 1965, consideration and concern for the climate and the environment have influenced everything we do, and shaped our products and our production processes
Every year, VELFAC donates part of its profits - together with contributions from the wider VKR Group - to the VILLUM FOUNDATION.
The VILLUM FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit organisation that, together with the VELUX FOUNDATION, provides financial support for scientific research and for social, artistic and cultural projects. We also contribute to the KR FOUNDATION, the VKR Group’s latest initiative, which supports international climate projects.
Each VELFAC window and door is predominantly made of natural materials and is built to be easily disassembled and reused at the end of its life cycle.
Our products are made by FSC®-certified pine and 50% recycled aluminium, and are also backed by a ‘cradle to grave’ analysis of environmental performance, providing further evidence of our windows and doors environmental credentials.
Hundreds and thousands of customers test VELFAC windows every day. Throughout Europe, millions of windows have stood the test of time, but despite this track record, we still maintain a demanding testing programme to ensure our system continues to meet - and exceed - all necessary regulatory standards.
For more than 60 years VELFAC windows and doors have helped create better buildings, filled with daylight, fresh air and the perfect indoor climate. But not many people know that it all started with a single great idea.
At VELFAC, we strive to be an attractive workplace that offers good employment terms, exciting careers’ paths, and a motivating and engaging working environment. And of course it should also be fun to work with us. This means that our aim is to create a number of social activities every year to support the development of strong relationships between colleagues.
