Climate goals

Fighting the climate change by reducing our CO2 footprint

It is unequivocal fact that human activities are causing Earth to warm, and that serious actions are required to reduce greenhouse gas and avoid the negative consequences of climate change. As part of the DOVISTA Group, we understand we need to do our part, and have committed to Science Based Target initiatives (SBTi) setting ambitious targets to dramatically reduce our carbon emissions.

OUR 2030 goals

By 2030 – with 2021 as the base year – DOVISTA has committed to reduce its CO2 emissions by:

#1
42% reduction of internal carbon emissions

This includes a carbon reduction of own production processes, leased vehicles and heating systems (Scope 1) as well as indirect emissions from energy procurement (Scope 2).

#2
25% reduction of emissions through our value chain

This includes a reduction of the emissions from purchased goods and services, from the services provided by our subcontractors to outbound distribution and transportation (Scope 3).

Facts

  • Through the 2015 Paris Agreement, world governments committed to curbing global temperature rise to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels to avoid the catastrophic impacts of climate change.
  • To achieve this, GHG emissions must halve by 2030 – and drop to net-zero by 2050.
  • SBTi was launched in 2015, as a partnership between CDP, the UN Global Compact, the World Resources Institute and WWF
  • Science-based targets show organizations how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to prevent the worst effects of climate change and supports them by providing target methods and guidance.
