Local heritage, international mindset

VELFAC is an international brand with activities in most of Northern Europe – and, through our mother company, part of a worldwide window group. However, our roots are based in Denmark and we are proud of our Scandinavian heritage.

Part of DOVISTA

VELFAC is a brand owned by DOVISTA, a group of European manufacturers of facade windows and doors. The DOVISTA Group - itself part of VKR Holding - is the European largest manufacturer of facade windows and consists of 14 distinct brands, each with strong roots in its local market.

The companies in the DOVISTA Group operate under the motto "Distinctive Brands - Shared Excellence": They are independent organisations with their own expertise, product portfolio and market structure, all of which are part of a strong DOVISTA community with cross-functional collaboration under a common set of values.

More about VKR

The VKR Group was created in 1941 by engineer Villum Kann Rasmussen, a man who combined a strong creative drive with impressive attention to details. This led to the development of a number of products, all of which aimed to bring daylight, fresh air and a better environment into people's everyday lives.

The VELUX skylight, which Villum Kann Rasmussen developed in 1942, created a breakthrough for the company but Villum Kann Rasmussen also had the ambition to create a company that contributed to society. His visionary initiatives within socially responsible business operations and personnel management  are still deeply rooted in the company today.
